Hey, I'm Megan.

I'm a photographer and a mom to four boys in North Texas. Most days you'll find me somewhere between a baseball field and a homeschool lesson.

Quiver + Calix exists to capture the candid moments in life. Moments that reflect personality and the current seasons of life we are in.

Now of course, a family portrait is not too much to ask for. Once a year it’s worth the effort to coordinate outfits, study the weather, and giggle in awkward positions for a few minutes. In those moments I can also find the natural embraces and soft stares that bring you back to the gentle days of raising a family - reminding you that it’s always worth it!

I photograph families and small businesses in the McKinney, Melissa, and Anna area — and I keep things simple. Natural light. Real expressions. Raw storytelling with a hint of light and focus.

The Name

Psalm 127 says children are a heritage from the Lord. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them.

A reminder to look within the walls of your home and find God's blessing running around with swords and tugging at your pant leg for one more story.

Calix is Latin for vessel or cup. People are vessels — we hold countless stories, hard-won wisdom, and lived experience worth passing on. A camera is a vessel too. Through it, we seek to capture and share God's beautiful story, one life at a time.
